Red Alpha Originals is the home for the characters, stories, designs and creative properties born inside Red Alpha — including ideas that existed long before Red Alpha Studios had a name.
Explore the OriginalsWhere It Started
Red Alpha Originals did not begin when we launched a studio, built a webpage or decided to call something intellectual property.
For years, ideas became T-shirt designs, characters, collections, jokes, commentary and stories. Sometimes a shirt was the only canvas we had. Sometimes a character appeared before we knew where the story was going. Sometimes we created something simply because it made us laugh or gave us a way to say what we were thinking.
Now the canvas is bigger.
Red Alpha Studios gives those Originals room to move beyond the design — into comics, illustrated stories, video, written features and whatever form the next idea needs.
Born during the 2016 creepy-clown phenomenon, Fred and Clown Patrol began as Red Alpha's creative response to what was happening in culture. Artwork became a collection. The collection became a story. And the story is moving again.

Original Red Alpha characters brought to life through an old-school Sunday funny-pages format. A little real life, a little exaggeration and plenty of room for the adventure to go wherever it wants.

Another creative property from Red Alpha's history. The archive exists, but its permanent Red Alpha Studios home and recovered story are still ahead of us.
Archive Recovery AheadStory Link Coming SoonToday it is easy to think of merchandise as something created after a story already has an audience. Red Alpha often worked the other way around.
The T-shirt was the canvas. The design carried the idea. A character, phrase or image could exist on apparel long before there was an easy way to turn it into an illustrated story, comic, video or entire creative property.
That history matters. The old designs are not merely merchandise attached to Red Alpha Originals. In many cases, they are artifacts from where the Original began.
Preserve what actually existed — original artwork, designs, stories, dates and creator memories — before adding new mythology around it.
An Original does not have to stay trapped in the medium where it began. A design can become a character. A character can become a story. A story can become something we have not thought of yet.
Every property gets room to develop its own personality and visual world. Red Alpha Originals connects them without forcing them all to look or sound the same.
We know Fred. We know the Alpha Reds. We know the Petty Elf. And after years of creating, there are almost certainly ideas, designs and characters waiting in old files, folders and memories for us to rediscover.
We do not need the entire catalog recovered before Red Alpha Originals can move forward. We can preserve what we find, establish what is known and give each property room to grow when its time comes.
